Steelers baby, Steelers all the way. Dem Saints get some love for fun games (like whooping old man Farve), but if the Black and Gold ever play the...Black and Gold, I know where my heart is!

Ok here is the premise. Yahoo tells you who the favored team is (always in the left hand column) and gives you a point spread on the right. This means that if you pick the favored team they must win by that many points. If you don't think they can or you favor the underdog, then pick them. You do this for every game. Also there is a section below where you guess the game scores as a sort of tie breaker. You can pick the same team over again the next week.

OK, I've never done this pick 'em league before. Am I supposed to pick a winner for every single game? I've heard of some where you only pick one winner each week, but you're not allowed to pick the same team more than once the whole season. This is not that, right? Help!

Odyssey, if it's anything like year it's kind of a crap shoot so I wouldn't worry. I mean...The (MIGHTY!!) Steelers got beaten by five or six of the worst teams in the NFL and they were defending superbowl champs!

I'm all for it. But only if we have some people who know football so they can make up for my appalling lack of said knowledge.

So I was talking to Prof Like Substance and we may try to do a head to head fantasy football challenge between the bloggers of LabSpaces and Scientopia. I think this could be a lot of fun and the losers have to writes posts about their favorite posts from the winning teams blog site. So what do you guys think of THE BATTLE OF THE BLOGS?

You don't pick a single team, you pick who is going to be the winner of every game each week. So if you are a homer, you can always pick the bears or the raiders, or the panthers in my case. I got screwed on that last season, so it might be better to be a fairweather fan.

I'll do it if I can have the bears!

OK- I'll play. Should be a gimme for the rest of you as I'm going with the Raiders.

Like I said, all you have to do is pick the team you think will win that is it but they do have to cover the point spread but that will be listed. Its really easy and it definitely generated a lot of trash talking last year.

I'm in. I can't do most Fantasy Football, but this I think I can handle. Plus my team is not going to do well this year.

Last year I took part in the SciBlogs NFL Fantasy Football Challenge and it was a blast. It was really too for novices, you don't have to pick players, you just pick the team that wins taking into consideration the point spread. Really quick and easy. If anyone (bloggers, readers, bookies) is interested in playing let me know and I'll set it up.
