Tobacco companies said that the new warnings from FDA violate their free speech rights. Today, the companies will likely win their suit against the FDA, as a Washington judge momentarily blocked the new warning labels. The verdict implies that until a final constitutional verdict has been issued, cigarette companies will not be required to put the visual pictures on packages of cigarettes. I read it here: Tobacco warning labels may unconstitutionally compel speech.
