There is but one rule for this meme: Post the link and first sentence from the first blog entry for each month of the past year.

Here they be:

January- 2010 already. How did that happen?

February- This week I sent three of these off to surplus.

March- Hmmmm, apparently I was too busy to blog in March.

April- I am occasionally asked to review manuscripts for a journal in my field that has a storied past, but over the last decade has fallen out of favor.

May- So the funding downturn is finally beginning to catch up with my department.

June- To the rabbit that ate all the leaves off the cucumber plant in my vegetable garden:

July- Thanks to the grant-making powers that be it looks like I might be getting a new toy. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

August- I go away on vacation (hmmmmm, vacation.... sun, beer, sand, beer, waves, beer, seafood, beer and beer...) and all hell breaks loose.

September- There are many, many topics I could choose from regarding things I wish I knew, or knew more about, before joining the faculty here at Big State U.

October- The time I spend reviewing as a function of proposal score (NSF ratings) can be summarized by:

November- Have a grant that's just been unfairly trashed by some illiterate, drooling neanderthal of a numbnuts?

December- CoR and PlS think they know music. Bah! say I.
