Veterinary medicine, bacteriology, bacterial genetics, bacterial pathogenesis, biology, molecular biology, molecuar & integrative physiology, neurophysiology, psychiatric research, astronomy, physics, astrophysics, library and information science (I know that's a social science but I'm putting it on here anyway) and a ton more - I'm a science NUT! (Okay nerd, but I'm perfectly fine with that, lol. I do want to mention that the only science subject I don't enjoy is chemistry. Biochemistry is okay but I suck at hard chemistry - organic and inorganic - and I just hate it for some reason. But almost every other discipline out there I will read up on!)

I live with a spoiled rotten but well-behaved silver dapple long-haired dachshund named Ralph, (or Ralphie as we call him most of the time, like Ralphie Parker in A Christmas Story). He is my precious little man who is never more than 5 feet away from me it seems.

I obtained a bachelors in Microbiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (which I still love and read popular science and even research articles still - I love it, I just don't enjoy DOING it, as a job I mean, so no PhD for me!). I'm currently in grad school at Drexel University (Philadelphia) in the online master's program working on a double masters in library and information services and digital libraries, which I LOVE.

In my spare time: I am avid reader; enjoy spending time with my Ralphie and volunteering with him as a therapy dog & handler team with Caring Canines Therapy Dogs; LOVE seeing live music whenever I can; preferably at festivals - although most of my favorite artists are either dead or don't play anymore (classic rock is my favorite); percussion; traveling anywhere but especially out of the continental US; working on a variety of personal research activities - right now writing a book about canine nutrition, how to choose the best food that's right for your dog, other canine health & behavior topics, etc.; and creating mandalas and thangkas (Tibetan art).
