I know the entire point of having this up here is for transparency and so everyone, non-bloggers included, can see what is going on behind the scenes. Maybe I'm the only one who feels this way, but there is no way I have time to weed through everything on here, which means that I am often missing out. Would it be possible to have an email going around to bloggers with the most important information that is relevant to everyone (like if we are doing another theme week, etc.) so that those of us who lack time to sift through the posts aren't also missing out?

I'm with DJ on this...I always feel like I'm missing things over here.

I would really love to have SOMETHING set up so I can keep track of important happenings/changes/developments etc. I just can't spare the time to look through new posts every day, or even more than once a week.

Oh no, this wasn't in reference to a time thing, just a statement that whether it is an email or a Twitter hashtag like LabMom suggested or anything else, it would just be great to have something that gets the most important things across without having to sift through lots of posts. Not an objection that there isn't anything RIGHT NOW DAMNIT BRIAN GET ON IT.

Maybe just an email that goes out to all the bloggers with the single most important things -- maybe when the thread was started regarding topics for theme posts since we may want to contribute to that, or an email when a date/theme is set... basically the things for which everyone may want to contribute (not things like site changes, etc.). Basically like the email you sent out last week with the link to the Google Document - clearly, there was a reason why that wasn't posted on the site forum, but things like that where everyone may want to contribute to something that affects the blogging community as a whole.
