I got an email notificiation of a message from a user but it is not in my inbox and it does not appear that this user exists?

I think the site is getting a bit of spam. Brian is probably on top of things, so you're getting notified but by the time you get here, it's gone.

TJ is right. Sometimes we get spammers and I just delete all remnants of them from the database :)
