Help ! Cytochrome P450

I have been trying for days to find the the best ( and cheapest unfortunately ) way to determine cytochrome P450 activity ( so not PCR or Western blot ) .

and I have been stumped so many websites with pay for scholarly articles that you just have no idea if they are any use at all ,

I don't even know if this is the right place to post it , but if anyone knows anything about it I would love if you would share that knowledge with me :-)

We always used a luminometer assay from promega, but i don't think it was cheap. Maybe someone else has more experience with alternative techniques.

Kind of depends on the P450, since it's such a large family with wide range of substrates. If you're simply trying to determine if proper folding/heme incorporation, you might start with a simple CO binding spectrum.
