I got this e-mail this morning. I'm not sure how writing about linux will fit in with the science theme, what do you all think?

Hello Dr. Krueger,
Regarding the talk about blogger's diversity on Gerty-Z's blog post
(this one: http://www.labspaces.net/view_blog.php?blogID=346), I may
have a proposition for you; would you be willing to host me if I could
run a serie of blog posts related to Linux, home networking and some
advanced stuff (which I have no idea yet but I'll surely have some in
the next few weeks).

for reference, I'm nearly 34 years old (BDay: next 23 september),
autistic (learnt to speak at 6 years old with native language being
French, English second language at 13 which I learnt by myself at the
local library).

for schooling, I never finished high school but I still managed to go to
two universities, one in French, one in English, about 50 credits of
courses in management (Information system), mechanical engineering
(autocad, health & security and finally, creative problem solving
courses) as well as neuroscience (many biology & biochem courses, one
psychology courses).

work experience include having my business fixing home and business
computers for 10 years (still ongoing...), being a network administrator
for a small 125 clients ISP, research assistant for my ex-psychiatrist
(1 year 6 month) and various other job (not so related to computing).

I did lot of support on various mailing lists related to Linux and the
outcome is that I have been offered to do a series of articles on Samba
on some website (the administrator of the website in question made the
offer to me but I don't remember having replied at all...I just had no
clue about publishing a serie of articles but now, I'm willing to try).

quick mention; regarding the isp job, I got hired the night where the
server badly crashed (dead single hard disk) and I offered the owner
(who did tech support and mostly everything up to my hiring) to help. it
was late in the evening and with no computer store open so I took my own
hard disk and shoved it in the server and over the next 4 days, rebuilt
everything. After that, the business lasted about 4 or 5 month but the
high cost of doing business coupled with the few incomes the owner had
meant the business had to close. I got paid 50$ and free internet for
the whole time but I took it as a learning experience.

If you need to talk about it to the bloggers on your platform, you have
my permission to forward this email to them (including my real name) and
if anyone (you or them) have further questions, I'll be glad to answer
them to the best of my knowledge.

B-Rizzle, maybe you can get him to write up a sample post kind of like the physics guy did, hopefully with better results?

That's what I told him, but I don't just want a "How to do home networking blog" It has to have some sort of science spin :)

Hmm. Same as physics d00d, practice makes perfect. SO maybe not now, but with practice and some science-spin ideas/themes?

I mean, CS is a science...
