Taking the top spot on the poll by a slim margin is "What I wish I knew..."

Dr. Becca raised a concern about treading path that's been well beaten recently. But I think we can still do something with it, even get creative and have a little fun with it. I'm sure many of us had "before grad school/postdoc/interview" sort of phases in mind, but really anything would be fair game-first conference, committee meetings, first departmental seminar, teaching/TAing, excess intake of EtOH with your boss... Other ideas?

Also any volunteers for a roundup post of the carnival?

OK, if we've got a little flexibility, I think we can do this without, as you say, beating a dead horse. Are we still all doing the same thing, or could we each have our own sub theme? I was thinking of something like "before moving to a big expensive city" but I like drinking w/ boss, too!

So we can do a post like, "I wish I knew my prom date was a filthy skank." Not saying its true, just trying to hypothetically see what we can post on.

Just title it: What I wish I knew before..*insert phrase here*

I think mine's going to be: What I wish I knew before...Asking GR to blog here.
