I've been reading a ton of blogs lately looking for talent, but I would love it if you all were involved in this process too. What I like may not be what everyone else likes, so just keep an eye out for other good people and post up links to their blogs here so we can discuss them :)

I think a person with immense talent and a good perspective would be Tideliar. He's a displaced European, prodigious drinker, a former bench scientist and currently an informatics program manager. And he has a foul mouth!

I'm shipping him some booze anyways so that might sweeten the pot too!

Another to consider is Ambivalent Academic, who appears to have just moved from the NE to a nice little southern lab for her postdoc. Quite the edgy and entertaining blogger: http://ambivalentacademic.blogspot.com

I already contacted ambivalent, and she declined my offer. Maybe you can twist her arm better than I can!

E-mailed TideLiar, Repairman, feel free to invite him on your own too, and I'll give him access to the blogging section to look around!

Have you checked out DGT. She's a non-PhD scientist working in industry. I find her posts both informative and entertaining.

I'm in talks with TideLiar. He sounds like a great guy!

DGT just signed up here a few days ago. I'll send her a message.

I just sent an email to DGT. We'll see. I think that we should cool it for now and see where we are as far as bloggers go. I'm going to make a new thread to cover some of TideLiar's concerns, or at least open them for discussion and resolution ;)

What about Minor Revisions. She's biotech, but her posts are both funny (with names) and poignant?

DGT is on board.

Odyssey is looking around and kicking the tires. Hope to hear back soon :)

I took a look at minor revisions, and her blog seemed more personal than science, maybe I didn't look back far enough?
