Hi everyone. It is my turn to do the round-up this weekend. Biochem-Belle has done such a good job of listing everyone's post from the theme (i wish I knew...). Do you want an additional round-up? I'm happy to do it but I wanted to check that I wasn't repeating anything.

Yeah, we've be a little light on posting outside the theme day :) I think it's fine to just round up additional posts from the week and link back to the theme roundup.

Theme day totally burnt me out, but it was our heaviest traffic day of the week. 14,000 page views :) We've been averaging 11k on regular days.

Brian, that's awesome! A 35% increase in traffic means we're getting a lot of attention because we have a diverse of group of talented writers sharing a valuable resource.

Well done to everyone, and let's keep this momentum strong. THIS is what the all the arguments are about. Facebook for scientists? Web2.0 for science? Fuck knows, TBH, but obviously 'people' want to read what we're writing. maybe if we get a few more solid Theme posts under our belt we;ll increase membership and the forums will pick up too.

once people start coming in here and asking for things, we can really help Brian steer this little community.

Free-ego massages all round!

OK, I'll skip the round-up this week. I can do it next week if that doesn't mess up the schedule.
And yes, great news about theme days and traffic!

I'm STILL working on the analytics. This really is something you don't want to screw up the first time and have to try to fix later. Sorry all :) I'm a big fan of the theme post days, mostly because I like reading all of the stories everyone has to tell!
