Brian, since I was the one brought the twitter thread to your attention, I just wanted to say that it was not with the intent of driving you "batshit crazy". And you shouldn't change the site for one guy. But I do think it's important to know how those outside the LabSpaces community view the site, to see if perceptions and the intended goal/mission are aligning.
Another key point-which I made to Ed-is that the blogging at labspaces, in its current form, has really only started in earnest, so it's to be expected that things are in flux, and that a little time will be needed to work out some of the design aspects since this is a one-man coding show ;) Those of us who blog here know how much work you've put in and are continuing to put in, and we sincerely appreciate that you are open to ideas and looking for our feedback on what works, what doesn't, and how to move things forward.
The news is an important part of LS. We all came here by choice (unless Brian has some blackmail photos or telepathic abilities of which I'm unaware :P ), and presumably we all liked what we saw, or we wouldn't be here.
A positive thing to take out of this is that the blogging side is capturing the attention (in a good way) of some widely recognized bloggers. DrugMonkey, for one, has a few
nice things to say. I, for one, hope that we can help you go after those unicorns :)
